Day1 Chengdu - Yaan - Luding - Kangding - Xinduqiao
Erlang Mountain is the watershed of Qingyi River and Dadu River. It is the dividing line of natural geography, and the first gate of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The Erlang Mountain Tunnel is the longest road tunnel in Asia.
Luding Bridge is located in Luding County, Sichuan Province. It is a suspension bridge spanning the Dadu River. The bridge deck is built with iron and wood. It was built in the 44th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi and is an important historical monument of the Communist Party of China.
Day2 Xinduqiao - Gaoersi Mountain - Kazila Mountain - Haizi mountain - Daocheng County
Haizi Mountain is located between Litang County and Daocheng County. It is the largest ancient ice body relic on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. There are 1145 different sizes of lake all over the mountain.
Banghe and sela
Banghe and sela are located on the southwest side of the county town of Daocheng County. They are the best place to shoot poplar. In the morning/evening, with the sun shines on the poplars of the riverside, with the smoke curling up from kitchen chimneys, you would feel yourself in an oil painting.
Red meadow is 28 kilometers away from Daocheng County. It can only be seen in ten days in early October. At that time, the grassland is overgrown with red bushes and regarded as "color of heaven" by the locals because of the beautiful red. It has become a must-see for Daocheng tourists due to the special color.
Day3 Daocheng County - Riwa - Yading
Daocheng Yading, also known as Yading Nature Reserve, is located in the southern part of Daocheng County in Ganzi Prefecture. It consists mainly of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, Xianuoduoji and the surrounding rivers, lakes and alpine meadows. Like the local devout Tibetans, walking to the mountains is a better way to experience the scenery. Some people call Daocheng Yading the “Last Pure Land on the Blue Planet”.
Chonggu Temple occupied the best geographic location in Yading Natural Reserve. Standing in the front of the temple, enjoy the blue sky overhead, the yellow-green-interphase meadow underfoot, and snow-covered mountains in the distance, you would feel you were so close to heaven – the god’s world.
In Luorong Pasture, herds of sheep and cows scatter over the grassland, enjoying the great sunshine and pure lake water. Snow peak, forest, pasture, creek, lake, waterfall and wooden house compose a beautiful picture. This pasture is surrounded by the Three Religious holy Mountains, it is one of the most scenic spots in Yading.
Day4 Yading village - Milk Lake and Pearl Lake - Daocheng County
Today is the second day of visiting Daocheng Yading. In the end we will return to Daocheng County.
Milk Lake and Pearl Lake
Start from Luorong Pasture and proceed along the valley between Xiannairi and Yangmaiyong, you will arrive at the Milk Lake, which is located at the foot of Yangmaiyong. The lake surface has many colors, with the mountain’s reflection in, it looks holy and pure. Pass Chonggu Temple and keep walking for about half hour, you will arrive at Pearl Lake. Pearl Lake is hiding behind a small forest, with verdurous water shines quietly under the clear blue sky.
Day5 Daocheng - Deqin（Benzilan）
From Daocheng to Benzilan, all along the way, the nature scenery looks amazing, although the attractions are not famous, it is quiet and beautiful. In the Benzilan Observation Deck, you would see the first bay of Jinsha River at full view.
Day6 Deqin (Benzilan) - Shangri-La
Meili Snow Mountain
Meili Snow Mountain is one of the eight sacred mountains in the Tibetan area and one of the favorite destinations for outdoor enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts.
Feilai Temple is located on the side of the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, facing the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain, Kawaboge. It has been more than 380 years. Today, Feilai Temple mainly refers to the villages formed spontaneously around the temple, as it is the best place to watch the Meili Snow Mountain.
Day7 Shangri-La - Lijiang
Tiger Leaping Gorge
Tiger Leaping Gorge is famous for its great gap. It is located in the eastern part of Hutiaoxia Town, Shangri-La County. It is divided into three sections: upper, middle and lower tigers, with a total length of about 20 kilometers. In the middle of the gorge is the Jinsha River. On both sides are the two snow-capped mountains: Yulong and Haba. The narrowest part of the river is only twenty or thirty meters. With the huge drop, the river is runs roughly. Tiger Leaping Gorge is also a world-renowned hiking resort, and there are many outdoor enthusiasts every year.
Old Town of Lijiang is a world cultural heritage, an important town on the ancient Tea Horse Road. There are more than 800 years of history here. You can look at the Yulong Snow Mountain while standing in the town. Many film and television dramas come here for framing. The old town of Lijiang has distinctive features and styles in the Chinese folk houses.
Day8 Lijiang - Lugu Lake
The wedding bridge is on the east side of Lugu Lake. It is about 300 meters long. The Mosuo people follow the customs of “walking marriage”, and the man will go to the woman’s house through the bridge after get married. The bridge is also known as: "the first magpie bridge in the world".
Located in Nisai Village on the north side of Lugu Lake, Lover Tree is a famous attraction in the village. It is also one of the must-see attractions for tourists on the Lugu Lake. The two big trees on the lake beach are tall and short, as if a pair of lovers, watching the beautiful lake quietly.
Day9 Whole day visit to Lugu Lake
Lugu is named after the shape of the lake - gourd. The lake is about 2,600 meters above sea level. It is known as the “Pearl of the Plateau”. The Mosuo people live here belong to the branch of the Naxi people, following the customs of “walking marriage”, and are the rare matriarchal clan nowadays. The lake is crystal clear, with "Mosuo" pig trough boat scatter around, red-billed seagulls flying above; you will feel like you are in a painting.
Day10 Lugu Lake - Lijiang
We would head back from lugu to Lijiang, and that’s the end of the trip.
